Birds of Prey

Emily and her buddy Natalie headed out to the Birds of Prey center south of Boise to check out some awesome birds.

This is what they would look like if they had eyes as big as a bird!

Oregon Trail Museum

On our way home from Nana and Papa's house in July, we stopped in Baker City, OR to check out the Oregon Trail Museum. Emily will be studying and Cassy will be teaching this information in the upcoming school year. It was really interesting and we hope that we can come back when we have time to hike down and see the wheel ruts.

Anniversary trip

Here we are at the top of the lift at Tamarack getting ready to head

down to the first of eight zip lines.

This is Kevin ending zip line #2 and Cassy coming to the end of #3.

We paused at after #6 and took this picture with

Lake Cascade in the background.

Kevin's favorite of the day was #6 from the "Tree House," a platform 105 feet up in the air.

As Cassy is deathly afraid of heights, this was not the favorite for her!

She liked line #7 where you ran off a platform and launched yourself over the forest.

Girl Scout Camp-Drama Queens I

Emily headed off to Girl Scout camp in McCall.

She had a great week singing, funyaking, making crafts, and meeting lots of new friends!

She came home with tons of mosquito bites!

Now she is off to church camp in another week-

busy girl!

The slumber party

Before bed the girls did some dancing and then watched movies

in the livingroom. I think that they crashed sometime after 1am...

Kevin and I didn't make it that long!

In the morning we had pancakes and then the crew packed up

and headed home.

Birthday cake

After swimming, we came back and sang "Happy Birthday" to Emily

before she blew out the candles on the "pool" cake I made for her.

Party Time!

For Emily's 9th birthday party she wanted a "pool" party.
So, we started out with some food and then headed to the

pool for a couple hours of swimming and games.
